Hi!  Thanks for stopping by my profile and/or following me here on Hubpages.  I hope that today is going great for you.  : )                          

I'm a mom to four awesome kids.  Two of them are my twin 9-year-old daughters and the other two are boys who are 10 and 19.  My other babies are dogs: two papillons, a fox terrier and a rat terrier.

Some activities I enjoy include spending time with my family, walking my dogs, writing, reading, photography, gardening, rock hunting, camping, hiking, traveling, going to the ocean, spending time in the mountains.

Some interesting things about me (I think) are: my family has been in the United States since the late 1500s, early 1600s; a few of them were even Revolutionary War Soldiers.  

Both sides of my family have been in California since the early 1800s, prior to the Gold Rush. My paternal great, great grandparents were California pioneers who traveled by covered wagon across the plains from Missouri to eventually settle in Northern California.  My grandmother was born in Humboldt County, California (Ferndale) in about 1894; my grandpa was born in the Bay Area and was a survivor of the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco.
